Down 2-0 in the fourth set, Musetti ultimately retired from the match, unable to continue due to the injury. His withdrawal sealed Alcaraz’s place in Sunday’s final, where he will face the winner of the highly anticipated clash between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic.

The second men’s semifinal will take place later on Friday. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner has been dominant at Roland Garros 2025, reaching the semifinals without dropping a single set. He defeated Alexander Bublik in the quarterfinals with a convincing 6-1, 7-5, 6-0 victory.
Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, continues to defy age at 38. After cruising through the early rounds, Djokovic overcame a tough challenge from Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals, coming from behind to win in four sets.
