MUMBAI: A minor fight between drivers of two aggregator cabs snowballed into a dangerous stunt as one driver jumped onto the bonnet of the other’s cab at the domestic terminal of the city airport Wednesday midnight. To avoid being attacked, the driver who was in the cab, Bhimprasad Mahanto (34), accelerated while with the other, Justin J (34), clung onto the bonnet. He zipped along Western Express Highway, driving several kilometres.A passing two-wheeler rider filmed the edge-of-seat incident with the video later going viral on social media. The one who drove has been detained by the police, and his vehicle has been seized. A case has been registered at Airport police station.In the video, the man can be seen holding onto the edges of the cab as it continues to speed on the highway. He can also be seen telling something to a passing two-wheeler rider who is filming the act. A police officer said that the matter started over a petty fight when Mahanto and Justin had a minor scuffle which led to a serious confrontation. Mahanto was trying to flee when Justin hopped onto the bonnet of his car,” said a police officer.The driver on the bonnet lodged a police complaint. The other has been booked and served a notice.
