Brad Pitt's Los Angeles home ransacked by burglars while actor was promoting F1 movie: Police

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a burglary at a Los Feliz residence reportedly owned by actor Brad Pitt, who is currently globe-trotting, promoting his upcoming racing drama F1.Police responded to a break-in late Wednesday night at a property on the 2300 block of North Edgemont Street, in the Los Angeles neighbourhood, LAPD spokesperson Officer Drake Madison confirmed to AP on Thursday. According to Madison, three unidentified suspects entered the home through a front window, ransacked the property, and fled with an unspecified amount of “miscellaneous property.”News of the burglary was first reported by NBC News.He added that police were not releasing the name of the homeowner and that no details were currently available regarding what was stolen. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident. The LAPD investigation is ongoing.Meanwhile, commercial real estate platform Traded previously reported that Pitt purchased the Los Feliz property in April 2023 for $5.5 million. A representative for the Hollywood star declined to comment on the incident. The break-in occurred as the Hollywood star is out of the country for a global press tour promoting F1, his new big-budget film set in the world of Formula One racing. Pitt was last seen attending the film’s international premiere in London on Monday. The movie is set to hit U.S. theatres this Friday, June 27. According to Variety, the film may just be heading for a $100+ million global opening this weekend. The film is expected to earn an estimated $50-$60 million. It is also expected to earn an aditional $70 million from various international markets.
