At 59, Milind Soman continues to age backwards: His simple, doable diet and fitness routine REVEALED

At 59, model turned actor Milind Soman, best known for his “Made in India” video way in 1995, is one the fittest celebrities in tinsel town. Leading an extremely disciplined lifestyle, Soman is known for his extreme dedication to fitness and clean eating habits that he often shares with his fans. He recently participated in the “#FitIndianRun” initiative, and has shared updates on social media. Let’s take a look at his diet and fitness regime (and how you can adapt it too)Fitness routineMilind is well known for his endurance activities. For example, as part of the “”#FitIndianRun” initiative”, he covered 330 kilometers in just three days by walking and cycling, which included rough terrain and uneven roads. He later said that the route was extremely “strenuous” that tested his physical and mental limits, but he felt “amazing” when he was able to push through it.

When it comes to daily exercise, Soman likes running, cycling, and walking, which are low-impact exercises that improve cardiovascular health and overall fitness. Milind believes in listening to his body and not overdoing it, as his aim to stay fit, not lose weight. Soman has often admitted he is not a fan of the gym, and is often seen on the streets running, or even walking with his wife Ankita Konwar.Daily exerciseEvery day, Milind includes some form of physical activity, preferably outdoors. It could be anything from a long run, a cycling session, or a brisk walk. Soman also practices yoga, which helps with flexibility and mental peace, amidst the hustle bustle of life.DietMilind follows a simple and clean diet, and stays aways from fads and mindless eating or extreme dieting. He believes in eating natural and unprocessed foods. His meals mainly consist of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains. He avoids junk food and anything that is overly processed, or store bought. The actor starts his day by drinking half a litre of water. Around 10 a.m., he has breakfast, which includes nuts and a variety of seasonal fruits like papaya and melon. For lunch, usually at 2 p.m., he eats rice or chapatis with dal and plenty of fresh, local vegetables. He also adds two teaspoons of homemade ghee to his meals. Although he mostly follows a vegetarian diet, he sometimes eats a small amount of chicken, mutton, or eggs, but only about once a month. When it comes to snacks, he prefers to keep it light with a cup of black tea sweetened with jaggery. Dinner is early, around pm, and includes plenty of vegetables or some khichdi. Milind avoids processed foods and drinks alcohol rarely, only once or twice a year.
