    Asia Cup schedule: India vs Pakistan likely on September 7; tournament starts September 5 in UAE

    TimesofIndia.com in Birmingham: The Asia Cup 2025 is likely to start on September 5 with the title clash taking place on September 21. The 17-day window has been almost finalised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and India are set to take on Pakistan on September 7 as per the initial schedule. It is reliably learnt that all participating nations, including official hosts India, are close to getting clearances from their respective governments for the tournament which is set to be played in the UAE.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW!India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and UAE will be the participating nations, and the multi-nation event is set to follow the group stage and Super Fours format. It means the fans will witness the India vs Pakistan contest at least twice. The second contest could well take place on September 14.

    The promotional activities for the tournament have already begun and official broadcaster Sony recently shared a poster of the tournament. The latest developments on the Asia Cup is welcome news for all the stakeholders who were counting on the India-Pakistan clash in multi-nation events. The recent cross-border tension complicated the situation for a bit but with the sides set to lock horns in UAE, the future of this fixture in global tournaments looks bright.
