Appeals court to consider legality of Trump’s use of Alien Enemies Act to carry out deportations

The Fifth Circuit Court of Federal Appeals is hearing arguments Monday over the legality of the Trump administration invoking the 18th-century law known as the Alien Enemies Act in an effort to deport migrants from the United States.
