Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) finally won the trophy at the IPL after a wait of 18 years. Virat Kohli was in tears as RCB won the finals against Preity Zinta’s Punjab Kings. Anushka Sharma was by Virat’s side cheering for him and the team. The most heartwarming moment of the day was when Virat hugged Anushka and shed tears. Meanwhile, the RCB team has reached Bengaluru today, on June 4 and received a grand welcome from the city. Anushka is a proud wife and a proud Bengaluru girl as she shared the glimpses of the celebration. The actress took to her Instagram stories and shared videos of the celebrations and the crowds giving them a grand welcome. Many fan clubs also shared the same.
Meanwhile, after winning the finals, Virat was told by Najyot Singh Sindhu that him hugging Anushka after the win would be etched in everyone’s memory forever. When asked about Anushka’s contribution to his life and this win, he said, “100%. She’s been coming here, supporting RCB since 2014. So it’s been 11 years for her as well — relentlessly coming to games, watching us just miss out. What your life partner does for you — the sacrifices, the commitment — backing you through thick and thin, is something you can’t explain in words.”He further said, “What Anushka has gone through emotionally, watching me being down and out… She’s a Bangalore girl too. This is very, very special for her, and she’s going to be so, so proud.”
