The team also confirmed that there are no plans to replace or remove Diljit from ‘Border 2’. “His casting was confirmed nearly nine months ago, long before the recent unfortunate incidents. Nearly half the film has already been shot, and any replacement at this stage would be logistically unfeasible,” it added.Reports regarding Diljit Dosanjh being removed from Border 2Earlier, a source close to the production told TOI that Ammy was among the names discussed internally to step in for Diljit. “Diljit has only filmed 3–4 scenes so far. The makers are considering replacing him, as it’s still early enough to reshoot those portions without much hassle. The team is handling the situation directly, and Ammy Virk’s name has come up during internal discussions.” The issue escalated after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) addressed a letter to lead actor Sunny Deol, urging him to reconsider Diljit’s involvement in the patriotic film. As of now, the production team of ‘Border 2’ has not made any official statement regarding any cast changes.
