    Akshay Kumar, Vishnu Manchu cancel 'Kannappa' trailer launch in Indore in wake of Ahmedabad plane crash

    Akshay Kumar and Vishnu Manchu have jointly cancelled the much-anticipated trailer launch event of ‘Kannappa’, which was earlier scheduled to take place in Indore on June 13. The decision follows the tragic Air India plane crash that occurred in Ahmedabad earlier today (June 12).check out the post here:About the Air India plane crash happened in AhmedabadThe tragic incident took place when a flight bound for London crashed within five minutes of take-off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport. The aircraft, carrying 242 passengers including 12 crew members, crashed in a residential area, resulting in massive casualties and nationwide grief.Vishnu Manchu’s official statementSoon after the incident, Vishnu Manchu took to his X (formerly Twitter) account and wrote,“My heart breaks for the lives lost in today’s Ahmedabad Air India crash. In deep mourning, we’re deferring the #Kannappa trailer release by one day and cancelling tomorrow’s Indore pre-release event. My prayers are with the families during this unimaginably difficult time.”

    In addition to cancelling the pre-release event, the makers have also decided to postpone the trailer release by a day as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives.Meanwhile, Salman Khan has also called off his recent event due to the tragic incident.About Kannappa movie and its releaseThe makers of Kannappa had already hosted a pre-release event in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, and were all set to conduct a grand event in Indore. Akshay Kumar, who plays Lord Shiva in the film, was expected to attend the Indore event and interact with the press. Both Akshay and Vishnu have decided to cancel the event.Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa is a mythological epic featuring Vishnu Manchu in the titular role. The film is slated to hit theatres on June 27. It also features Mohan Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, Prabhas, Mohanlal, Arpit Ranka, and many more in key roles.
