AHMEDABAD: A video of Falguni, a distraught daughter went viral on Friday. She said she was willing to pay the Tata Group Rs 2 crore, if they could bring back her father. The group had announced an ex gratia of Rs 1 crore each to the victims. Falguni’s statement also reflected the general air of gloom among families gathered at the BJ Medical College to give their blood samples for DNA matching.Emotions ran high as many were seen breaking down or sitting still, trying to process the loss. “Can the compensation ever bring back my father? My mother is sick, and she needs my father. I need his love and affection. I will pay Rs 2 crore to them if they can bring back my father, who always preferred travelling Air India,” Falguni said, while waiting to give her blood sample.Civil Hospital officials on Friday said that sampling of 219 persons was completed.Also read: Technical issues ground 2 Air India Express planes“Most of the relatives have provide samples. We also got a few foreign nationals. The DNA analysis of the human remains is also being carried out. Once the match takes place, identification will start. Then, the bodies will be handed over to the relatives,” said an official.Multiple teams have been deployed for the analysis of the DNA of the deceased, said officials. However, the procedure is likely to take 48 to 72 hours. The initial identification process may start by Saturday, they added. For Gujarat’s forensic experts, this is the biggest challenge yet. In the recent past, the teams worked to identify the remains of the victims at a game zone fire in Rajkot.
