According to The Hindu, more than 50 individuals were injured in the crowd crush, with over 25 of them requiring hospitalisation. Police and volunteers acted swiftly to transport the wounded to nearby hospitals, including Bowring Hospital, Vydehi Hospital, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hospital. Despite the emergency response, questions are now being raised about the lack of preparedness and inadequate crowd management that led to the catastrophe.
