Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Emerges as 4th Biggest Hindi Grosser of 2025, Outshines Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force and Salman Khan’s Sikandar
Aamir Khan makes a strong comeback. His film Sitaare Zameen Par is a box office hit. The movie joins the top five highest-grossing Hindi films of 2025. It earns over Rs 121 crore in India. The film surpasses Sky Force and Sikandar. Vicky Kaushal’s Chaava still leads the chart. Aamir Khan’s return is celebrated by fans.

Aamir Khan’s much-anticipated return to the big screen with Sitaare Zameen Par has proved to be a resounding commercial success, as the film has now officially entered the list of the top 5 highest-grossing Hindi films of 2025. With a 10-day India net collection in Hindi of over Rs 121 crore, the emotional drama has secured the fourth spot on the annual list, surpassing several high-profile releases like Sky Force and Sikandar.Topping the 2025 chart so far is Vicky Kaushal’s historical action-drama Chaava, which stunned the industry with an exceptional Rs 585.7 crore. Following that are Akshay Kumar’s comedy juggernaut Housefull 5 with Rs 182.20 crore and Ajay Devgn’s gritty action sequel Raid 2, which earned Rs 173.38 crore. Now, Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par proudly sits at number four, ahead of patriotic action drama Sky Force (Rs 113.62 crore) and Salman Khan’s Eid release Sikandar (Rs 110.36 crore). The film, which is seen as a spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par, has benefitted from its strong emotional core, social messaging, and Aamir’s signature storytelling approach. It opened with a respectable Rs 10.7 crore on its first day and quickly picked up momentum over the first weekend, soaring to Rs 27.25 crore on Sunday. Positive word-of-mouth and family-friendly content kept the film’s collections steady even during weekdays, while the second weekend saw another boost, pushing its overall tally beyond the Rs 121 crore mark. The box office triumph of Sitaare Zameen Par also marks a major comeback for Aamir Khan, whose previous film Laal Singh Chaddha underperformed. This time around, the actor seemed more in sync with what his core audience wanted — emotionally engaging, socially relevant cinema with a strong narrative. The film’s performance has also reignited his dominance in the genre he helped popularize — feel-good dramas with a conscience. Here’s a quick look at the Top 6 Hindi Grossers of 2025 so far:

    1. Chaava – Rs 585.7 Cr
    2. Housefull 5 – Rs 182.20 Cr
    3. Raid 2 – Rs 173.38 Cr
    4. Sitaare Zameen Par – Rs 121+ Cr
    5. Sky Force – Rs 113.62 Cr
    6. Sikandar – Rs 110.36 Cr

With more weeks to go and solid audience support, Sitaare Zameen Par could stretch its legs even further. But for now, its place as the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 is a testament to Aamir Khan’s continued influence on Indian cinema and the audience’s appetite for heart-touching storytelling.
