    While having high intelligence quotient (IQ) is important, in today’s time and age having a high emotional quotient (EQ) is equally important. And highly intelligent and smart people understand this well. They know that not every disagreement is worth their time or energy, and so they choose to respond rather than react to challenging situations. Arguing for the sake of winning or proving a point rarely brings peace or growth. In fact, certain topics often lead to unnecessary tension, wasted time, and damaged relationships—without offering any real benefit.
